Yamaha will be present in force at the Lyon 2-wheel show !

 The Lyon 2-wheel show is a crucial event for all two-wheel players. This is why Yamaha will organize a large number of activities and will exhibit more than 184 machines of all kinds during this show for the pleasure of visitors!

Details of activities and exhibitions:

  1. A Yamaha commercial stand

On a stand of more than 630 m2 – aisle 5 – stand B2, seven dealerships will be present to answer customers' questions and allow them to place an order for the machine of their dreams :

  • 7 Yamaha dealerships:

    • Alexis Moto Dardilly
    • Laurent Motos 3G
    • Spring Bike 69
    • Technic Motorcycles
    • Profile Motos Bourgoin

  • 62 machines on display including motorcycles, quads, SSVs and of course the new range of electrically assisted bicycles (VAE).
  • Among the motorcycles, the following new 2024 models will be available to discover:
    • The MT-09
    • The MT-09SP
    • The XSR900 GP
    • The RayZR
  • You should definitely not miss several exceptional motorcycles, notably Todd Kellet's YZ450F, winner of the Enduropale du Touquet 2024, the M1 of fabio quartararo, a copy of the R7 prepared for the Cup of the same name, the R1, R6 and Ténéré World Raid in their GYTR prepared racing versions.
  • Alongside the dealerships, representatives from Yamaha YouFinance and Yamaha YouAssurance will be available to visitors who have an imminent purchase project. Finally, for adventure lovers, the organizers of courses, trips or rallies in Ténéré will be gathered in the Ténéré Spirit Experience area.
  1. A Yamaha roadshow

The brand new Demo Ride Tour truck will be at the show, from Thursday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 18:30 p.m. to allow visitors to test the Yamaha range. 20 machines will be tested, from the XSR125 Legacy to the MT10, including the R7 and the TMAX. 3 driving groups will be offered:

  • 1 group 125cm3
  • 1 group CP2
  • 1 group CP3

  1. A machine exhibition LEGENDARIES

42 machines that belong to history will be exhibited in the Hospitality zone of the World Superbike podium truck on a total surface area of ​​more than 400m2.
A presentation of exceptional motorcycles which includes, among others, the YZF-R1 Petronas from fabio quartararo, the TZ750 of Patrick Pons and the TZ750 of Johnny Cecotto ...
Each motorcycle will be presented with an explanatory sheet of its exploits!

Exclusively, visiting slots commented by Eric de Seynes alongside great Yamaha riders are scheduled for the following days and times:

  • Thursday March 7 – 16 p.m.: Visit to EDS alongside Christophe Guyot and David Rinaldo
  • Friday March 8 – 11 a.m.: Visit to EDS alongside Christophe Guyot and Maurice & Bernard Maingret
  • Friday March 8 – 16 a.m.: Visit to EDS with Maxime Desprey et Christophe Guyot
  • Friday March 8 – Evening 20 p.m. with Yamaha dealers and VIPs present: Visit to EDS with Tom Pages et Giacomo Agostini
  • Saturday March 9 – 11 a.m.: Visit to EDS alongside Christian Sarron, Giacomo Agostini et Kenny Foray
  • Saturday March 9 – 13 a.m.: Visit to EDS alongside Tom Pagès and Lucas Mahias 

After each visit, Éric de Seynes will make himself available to visitors to sign his book “LEGENDAIRES”. 

Actor and witness to the motorcycle world for over forty years, Eric de Seynes, president of Yamaha Motor Europe, combined his passion on a daily basis: by entering competition, then, professionally, as a manufacturer. This passionate journey gave him unique access to most of the teams and drivers who have distinguished themselves over the last decades. This 300-page work presents portraits of champions and major players in the motorcycle world with whom he built his experience in a very personal story.

 An exhibition celebrating 40 years of Ténéré

A reproduction of the Yamaha stand at the Alpes Aventure Motofestival in Barcelonnette in 2023 will honor the 40th anniversary of the Ténéré. With exhibition of Ténéré, all decades combined.
On this stand will be displayed a timeline retracing all the significant events of Ténéré.

  1. An exhibition celebrating 50 years ofYZ

It's unprecedented, it's unique and it will surely never happen again, Yamaha brings together more than 80 YZs in a space of almost 500m2 – hall 5 – aisle 2 – stand 70. Most of these models have only been shown very rarely to the general public.

In addition to the 80 YZs, 1967 MXs unique in France will be exhibited, some YZs are restored "showroom" or in their original livery, new vintage, US yellow, pilot replicas, victorious factory motorcycles for some, in short it will be unheard of!

Yamaha was able to bring together all these models exclusively for the 50th anniversary of the YZ thanks to the cooperation of many private collectors.

 “Top keys” competition game

It has become an unmissable event at the Lyon 2-wheel show:  the Top keys competition located in gallery 2!
9 teams of 4 mechanics will compete to determine who will be the best apprentice mechanic in France!
The competition will begin Thursday March 7 with 36 participants and will end on Sunday March 10 with obviously only one winner.

The team of young talents who will represent Yamaha is made up of:

  • Paul Vin / Mad Motorcycles
  • Lukas Cavaco / Moto Revolution
  • Julien Ferraris Chappaz / Yam Orange by Gemelli
  • Louison Alonso Leloup / Warm Up Moto

  1. “The right weight” competition

Objective of the competition: Lift a suitcase located on the Yamaha stand and then estimate its weight.
Once the estimate has been made, you will need to register in order to get the chance to perhaps win the mystery contents of the suitcase!
It is possible to increase your chances by creating a “My Yamaha” account and shouting “I love Yamaha” on the stand!
The draw will be made on March 13, 3 days after the show!
