On the sidelines of the French Grand Prix, the second round of the FIM CEV Repsol Championship was held, in the Moto3 category.

Lyvann Luchel being injured, Enzo Boulom was the only French representative on Mancelle soil. The latter had a significant workload, since he was also a wild card in the world championship.

If he distinguished himself with a good third position in QP1, it was in thirteenth position that the Frenchman qualified at the end of QP2. Pole position went to Lorenzo Dalla Porta, almost half a second faster than Kaito Toba. The first row was completed by Ramirez, ahead of Alcoba and Fernandez.

While Jorge Lorenzo had just taken pole position in MotoGP, the start of the race was given in front of the crowd who remained in droves to watch the spectacle.

From the first laps, Dalla Porta confirmed his domination but Toba managed to stay on track. This was also the case for Ramirez and Manzi, but only for a few rounds; quickly, the two pursuers understood that they would not be able to keep up the pace.

Two duels for three places on the podium. In front, Dalla Porta was looking for his first victory of the season without being worried by Toba, second. There was a little more suspense behind, but it was ultimately Manzi who got the better of Ramirez, and took the last place on the podium.

More than ten seconds behind the four strong men, a group of five young men were putting on a show. After numerous attacks, more or less controlled, it was the latest arrival from the VR46 Academy, Dennis Foggia, who took fifth place. Alcoba, Atiratphuvapat (bless you!), Masaki and Arenas followed.

Enzo Boulom finished twelfth, sixteen seconds behind the leader and doubled his number of points in the general classification (8) of the championship. Ramirez retained first place with 58 points, ahead of Dalla Porta (52) and Toba (51).

Lorenzo Dalla Porta will replace the injured Phillip Öttl at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.

The next race will take place on May 29 at the Aragon circuit. This time, the Moto2 will be back and will have the right to two races.
