After three days of selection on the Guadix circuit in Spain, the bad news fell; no French rider was selected in the final for the 2017 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup!

However, Samuel DiSora which comes to us from Supermotard, Andy Verdoïa, brilliant Nice player playing in CEV; And Matthieu Gregory, vice-champion of France Objectif Grand-Prix, had managed to reach this final, among the 117 candidates who had initially been preselected.

But there was still 41 drivers competing for the 11 available places, the rest of the field being provided by repeaters from the 2016 season.

Even if we are obviously a little disappointed because we personally know these young French riders, we will obviously continue to follow the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup during its 2017 edition.

Here is the list of the lucky ones:

Xavier Artigas - Spain
Lorenzo Bartalesi - Italy
Adrian Carrasco - Spain
Loran Faber - Netherlands
Gabriel Giannini - Italy
Meikon Kawakami - Brazil
Beatrice Neila - Spain
Charlie Nesbitt - England
Can Öncü - Turkey
Peetu Paavilainen - Finland
Sasha De Vits - Belgium

Furthermore, the provisional 2017 calendar has been published and includes 7 dates for 13 races of this formula which currently remains the most interesting for entering the world of Grands Prix. On this subject, some good news could also come in the coming days...
