In the age of the Internet, it is extremely difficult to completely put an end to a rumor, especially if it is spectacular, although completely unfounded. For 24 hours the rumor has been circulating on the Internet (let's call it that, for lack of a better term) that Jorge Lorenzo would be in the crosshairs of Ducati managers after his particularly difficult start to the season. And that they could get rid of him. We get questions about this.

However, given the sums invested in the Spanish pilot, this would make almost no sense and it is therefore more than likely a completely unfounded hypothesis invented by a journalist in need of an audience, relying on the both on the Mallorcan rider's modest 18th place in the world championship and on the video showing him throwing his Ducati to the ground.

In any case, this rumor does not come from the paddock, and even if Jorge Lorenzo finished the Argentine Grand Prix in last place among Ducatis, factories and satellites, it would take much more to undermine a strategy involving at least two years.

Obviously, the managers of Ducati must not be delighted with the situation, but let's not doubt it: even if the bike from Borgo Panigale is not necessarily what suits him best, the number 99 will find this year a much better position, perhaps even as early as the Grand Prix of the Americas.

The challenge taken up by Jorge Lorenzo proves difficult, but the man has the mentality of a five-time world champion to face it. We can also, if necessary, see it in these statements and in this video broadcast today on Twitter: there is no doubt in this exceptional driver. Just a matter of time...

Jorge Lorenzo : “I have completely changed. Only one mechanic accompanied me to Ducati. I am starting a completely new era in a new team and in the very beautiful atmosphere that I can see at Ducati, with a lot of emotion, feeling and happiness.”
