For less than an hour, dozens of articles have been setting the web ablaze with the (unofficial) announcement that Andrea Dovizioso would be Ducati's chosen one and that Andrea Iannone would approach Suzuki to find refuge there.

A multitude of sites contain the information, from the most obscure to the most serious, such as Trademarks ou Sport.it.

You do what you want with it, but at least you've been warned! 😉

This leak, the origin of which is not yet known, but which spread across the web like wildfire a few minutes after Dani Pedrosa was made official for two more years at Honda, is probably not a coincidence...

Thus, even if Iannone is undoubtedly more fiery and certainly younger than his teammate, Ducati would have judged with a certain logic that the latter will make an excellent second to the future spearhead of Borgo Panigale, Jorge Lorenzo, debauched with blows of million.

Adding Iannone alongside the Majorcan driver would undoubtedly have generated a few “Iannonedes” with which the Italian firm is somewhat saturated (see statement from Carlo Pernat here ) ...

As a result of all these elements, Ducati would have made a lower offer to its two riders, Dovizioso accepting it and Iannone refusing it.
