To cope with the specificity of the Sachsenring, but also to continue the development of its RS-GP, the Aprilia Gresini team will have engine and chassis developments in Germany.

This comes at just the right time to respond to the motivation of Stefan Bradl at home and keen to please his fans after his absence last year.

Roman Albesian, the team manager, tells us more: “The Sachsenring is a decidedly special track, where engine performance has little impact on the overall result. Just imagine that maximum power is used for about 10-15% of a lap, while the electronic configuration and chassis characteristics are fundamental. What is above all necessary is handling and the ability to find the right trajectory in corners, both those under acceleration and those without throttle. Another tricky aspect concerns the first right turn, after a long section with the bike leaning to the left; a critical point of the route which must be managed very carefully.
Regarding our development, we are bringing to Germany a new swingarm, significantly lighter and with different rigidity parameters, as well as some components related to the engine intake which should guarantee a step forward in terms of engine torque at medium diets. »
