Having barely arrived at the top of the championship, Johann Zarco now presents himself on one of the circuits where he has never won.

It came close last year, by exactly 8 hundredths, against a wild Xavier Siméon who had finally succeeded in stealing the benefit of his pole position from the Ajo team member.

This year, his main rivals are Alex Rins and Sam Lowes, and if they no longer have to worry about their future in MotoGP, the French rider's objective will be to be "very relaxed" during this week -end…

Johann zarco: “The Sachsenring is a circuit where some drivers are very strong and others find things very hard. Last season we were very good in qualifying and in the race, I worked well. I remember that Siméon had a superb end of the race to win. We'll see what happens this year. I want to be very relaxed during the weekend, avoid spreading myself too thin on technical aspects and just find the best riding style for the track. The rest we had was the same duration as between Catalonia and Assen, and the calendar gave me two weeks without racing, and I was able to work with the driving school that I own. I also continued my physical preparation and trained on a circuit near my house. It is very important to continue training at a high level and not lose your driving feel during rest. I tried to enjoy the break and prepare for the German Grand Prix. »
