Only 5 points from championship leadership occupied by Johann Zarco and Alex Rins, the future Aprilia factory rider goes to the Sachsenring with confidence brought by the last edition of the German Grand Prix.
On the one hand the British driver had obtained an honorable 5th position, but above all his current team, Federal Oil Gresini, had won the victory with Xavier Siméon.
So many positive signs that the fiery number 22 will have in mind at the start of this Grand Prix which will mark the mid-season.
Sam Lowes: “I can't wait to get back on track at the Sachsenring: we are only 5 points off the lead in the championship, so we are determined to fight to get back on the podium and, thus, start a new offensive towards the title. After the race in Assen, which was a bit strange with that red flag at the end, I feel confident and I know I can get a good result; the team has very good data for this circuit, as their victory in 2015 attests. In Germany, the Grand Prix is always a big event, with a really good atmosphere. The circuit is also certainly interesting, very small and very different from many others. I can't wait to start working with my team. »
