Freezing temperatures, a very tricky track, “whatever you want, there you go” falls, a track not very conducive to Ducatis… and Andrea Iannone ultimately emerges as the most consistent man of this first day at the Sachsenring!

First this morning with 4 tenths ahead of Marc Marquez, second this afternoon 2 tenths behind Maverick Vinales, it is therefore undoubtedly the big surprise of the day.

Andrea Iannone, 1'22.381, 2nd: “After this day, I am satisfied. Whether in the morning or the afternoon, the feeling was very good with the bike. I start very confident and I like the way the bike handles.
I'm a little surprised because, whether it was last year or in 2014, we suffered a lot here, and once again that means we managed everything to do a good job together.
Today we had some grip issues in general, but I think it's a problem that everyone has. In my opinion, Michelin brought the right tires for this circuit, but the only problem is that the temperature is too low so we have to adapt the bike settings to handle this situation.”

When everything is going well, things seem simple, right? 🙂
