« So I made three mistakes and it's not normal because I don't usually make that many mistakes. But this weekend it happened. I am disappointed with these accidents, as I am with my position on the grid. But in the end, I could see big progress on the bike ". This Lorenzo is definitely astonishing. He explains : " we progressed in each session and in Q.1 we were competitive with the new tires. With the times I was doing, we could hope to finish fifth. But there I was, I fell ". All these complications put us far on the grid ».
And for tomorrow? Rest assured, all is not lost: “ The race is on Sunday and I'm happy that we have identified all our problems. I prefer to fall two or three times while being more or less competitive rather than not falling and not being competitive at all ". And the dreaded rain gets involved? “ We'll see how I'll be. Not having any preconceptions about the track, being positive and trying to feel good on the bike ". With Lorenzo, everything is definitely a question of mentality. And it is a monument that awaits him since among his 64 career successes, none have been celebrated on the Sachsenring.
