Great race, Cal! Did you think you could reach the podium before this Sunday?

Cal Crutchlow : " I don't know. I had a good race at the Sachsenring. For us, last week was a good race, and Barcelona was a good race. I just made mistakes in these races but today I didn't make a single mistake. I have to congratulate my team because we did a fantastic job all weekend. We worked very hard on race pace and set-ups. We were 17th to 19th in FP4 and that was the key for the race. A few laps before the end, I had some heat with my rear tire and I saw that Maverick was driving well. I'm happy for him that he finished 2nd and for me to be on the podium. So of course I'm happy to have come here and happy to go on vacation with this podium."
