Pedrosa will begin the final third of the season this weekend in Misano in fifth position in the provisional World Championship standings, 35 points behind the leader. The Spaniard won there last year, having already won there previously in 2010.

Generally speaking, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli has always been quite successful for him. Thus, in addition to his two victories, he reached the podium in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2014, which makes him one of the most regular drivers on this circuit. He also achieved two pole positions there.

Since last year, Pedrosa has held two track records: that of the fastest lap in a race in 1'32.979 (at an average of 163,6 km/h) and that of the fastest race in 43'44.524 (at an average of 162,3 km/h).

According to Dani, “I can't wait to get to the Misano race because it's a track that I love. There are always lots of fans and an incredible atmosphere.

“I have good memories there, where I had good results, so I hope I can ride well in every session.

“A few weeks ago we did a test there which was very good, and we hope that will help us move in the right direction from the start of the weekend. »
