Jorge Lorenzo recently said he hoped that if there were to be any instructions within the Ducati team, they would come as late as possible. This is easily understood, because as soon as they are applied, he will no longer be able to win his first Grand Prix for the Italian manufacturer, having to finish behind Andrea Dovizioso as long as he is in the race.

But team manager Davide Tardozzi does not see things the same way. For him, there should be no instructions at all, for two reasons. The first is that Lorenzo is a professional driver who knows what he has to do. That is to say, highlight your employer.

On the other hand Davide noted the excellent atmosphere and the good state of mind which reign within the Ducati competition department, with for example several times Jorge Lorenzo who came with the whole team to the foot of the podium to applaud his teammate Andrea Dovizioso. Which was not the case at Honda or Yamaha.

According to Tardozzi, “ Jorge works hard to reach his highest level to achieve victory. We've never talked about it, but when he's there and can help, I think, as I've seen him involved in the Ducati project, that he'll give him a hand without having to be asked. . »

On the other hand, Davide remains cautious about the result in Misano on Sunday: “With its characteristics, with its narrow and tight curves, Misano has always been a bit of our pet peeve. But never set limits. Even Barcelona should have been a complicated track, but we did the best. This year we are used to doing things that surprise, and it's not over, not just Ducati, Dovizioso, but also Lorenzo. »

“Misano and Valencia, where the World Championship final will take place, are the most difficult circuits for Ducati. While Motegi and Sepang are very favorable and I put Aragon and Phillip Island among the uncertainties. In particular, Australia is difficult for Andrea, but I'm curious to see what happens there. »
