On a Misano track that looks like a turnstile, qualifying well is already an option for a good result at the end of the Sunday race. To do well, you have to be on the first two lines. But that's only four places to take. So for whom? One of the two Hondas, one of the four GP17s or the only factory Yamaha?

Before starting on a track at a little over 40°, here is an idea of the forces present with the table summarizing the sessions since Friday...

The first ten qualified for this final were joined by Baptist et Abraham, emerged victorious from Q.1 after deliberation by the commissioners. This to the great dismay of Folger and Miller, first in the lead but the times were finally canceled for having exceeded the limits of the track.

It is Lorenzo who launched into the arena first, followed by the rest of the pack. On the contrary, Vinales came out last from the stands. It was he who signed the first reference in 1'33.408. Pedrosa answered him in 1'33.315 while Marquez stopped his effort when he felt Pirro in its wake.

Vinales continued to produce his effort and signed a 1'32.833, the second performance of the weekend below 1'33. The first was returned to Marquez who recalled it by claiming a 1'32.636. This first salvo before the final assault therefore gave Marquez, Vinales, Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Petrucci et Alex Espargaro before zarco which preceded Lorenzo, Crutchlow, Baptist, Pirro with technical concern and Abraham.

Marquez fell at turn 13 during the final rush and left Vinales take pole position in front Dovizioso. The second line consisted of Crutchlow, Lorenzo and zarco which is therefore in the right wagon. Pedrosa is seventh and disappointed, ahead Petrucci also disappointed and Baptist on the contrary satisfied. Pirro et Abraham follow.
