The Lombard manufacturer of exhaust systems SC-Project, double World Champion with Johann Zarco and now exclusive supplier of the RC213V of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, has acquired the historic Paton brand which it will present in the Moto2 world championship. from 2018.
SC-Project is the company of Stefano Lavazza and Marco de Rossi based in Cassinetta di Lugagnano, not far from Milan. The two men intend to relaunch the historic company of “Pep” Peppino Pattoni, and Lino Tonti (hence “Paton”), in collaboration with Roberto Pattoni, Peppino's son.
In 2014, Settimo Milanese's small pharmacy returned to the circuit. Road circuits in particular, where John McGuinness won the Senior Classic TT last year with his Paton entered by Team Winfield (pictured with n°1). Michael Rutter finished third in the TT Lightweight in 2015 on Paton and accompanied Ivan Lintin (Kawasaki RC Express Racing) and James Hillier (Kawasaki) on the podium. In 2017, Paton will be present at the TT with Stefano Bonetti.

SC-Project will build its own chassis, like Kalex, Suter, Tech3, WP-KTM and Speed Up. The arrival in Grand Prix is planned for 2018, for the last year of use of the Honda 600 CBR engine.
