The three riders competing for the 2016 Moto2 title were invited to a pre-event press conference at Sepang.

Alongside Tom Lüthi and Alex Rins, whom he precedes by 22 and 25 points, Johann Zarco appeared relatively relaxed and smiling at the idea that this Malaysian round offered him a first opportunity to repeat his world title.

The funniest moment of this conference took place when, after the official questions on the situation in the championship, the Movistar journalist asked the French driver which of the three drivers had the most pressure...

Johann zarco: “I felt the pressure almost the whole year. Having been champion in 2015, there was no room for error for 2016. But I made a few mistakes and I think I learned to live with that pressure throughout the year. That's why now, of course we can feel the pressure but after Aragon the situation was worse, and when I took the lead in Motegi it made me feel better. So now I have a little bit more of an advantage and I want to keep it.
So whether the pressure is more on me, Tom or Alex, it's hard to say. Hard to say. At the moment Tom feels strong and if he keeps this level he will be a very difficult guy to beat. And Alex was also second last year, he wants to be champion this year, he led then he struggled during a few races but he was able to come back, so he needs to win, and this can perhaps make things better for him simpler. And for Tom, as I said, if he keeps this level, he's strong, so... maybe it's me who has the most pressure (bursts of laughter)! »
No, but I like my situation with a 22 point lead, I really do! »
