If we were left somewhat unsatisfied this morning, with a session quickly interrupted by rain confirming a time of 2'09.346 from Sam Lowes, the fastest man on this circuit in Moto2 to date, we were nevertheless able to observe the determination of Johann Zarco, who was the only driver to continue driving on the wet track.
Effective or not on a technical level, it is always indirectly a message sent to the competition; the reigning champion is not there to amuse the gallery, whatever the weather conditions…
The sky is still overcast for this second opportunity for Moto2, but the track is very dry and the temperatures are a little higher.

Sam Lowes, who left FP1 as a boss, attacks FP2 in the same way, first in 2'09.223 then in 2'08.428, this time with a good performance from the rear; it is obvious that the Briton is sparing no effort and giving his all at every turn!
But, definitely, the rain seems to be angry with the Moto2 riders since, exactly like this morning, it came to greet them after a quarter of an hour of riding. Behind the future Aprilia MotoGP rider, it is the same people as this morning who were vying for runners-up; Takaaki Nakagami, Jonas Folger, Alex Marquez, Tom Lüthi and Johann Zarco.
This interruption is timely for Alex Rins, main opponent of John Zarco in the fight for the title, because he suffers enormously following his clavicle fracture dating back a week, and driving today without painkillers.
After around ten minutes, a few drivers returned to the track, including #5, despite the flags. “adhesion change” always agitated.
But the rain intensifies and the session ends there despite the timid wet tests carried out by Morbidelli, Baldassarri, Schrotter, Gardner, Raffin and Lecuona.
