It is not during the coming weekend but for the following one that the protagonists of the Grands Prix will meet. A reunion which will take place at Silverstone, country of a Cal Crutchlow latest winner. But before the start of hostilities, there will be a moment of mobilization for good causes. Rossi and Akrapovic will then be on the front line.
Thursday 1er September, the preliminaries of the British Grand Prix will be marked by the “Day of Champions”, a time when the public will be able to acquire at auction objects whose value will have been enhanced by the involvement of the star drivers. The sum thus collected will go towards the humanitarian cause, in particular through the “Riders for Health” channel, a non-governmental organization in which is particularly involved Randy Mamola.
At Silverstone, the event will have a more special flavor since Akrapovic will offer exhausts autographed by drivers. A series of 25 exhausts will be produced to celebrate the brand's 25th anniversary. And six will be offered in England, bearing the signature of the idols. Products intended for the Ducati Multistrada 1200, the Yamaha YZF-R1, the BMW S 1000 RR and the KTM 1290 Super Duke R.
For Ducati, the initials of Casey Stoner andAndrea Dovizioso will be present, for the KTM, it will be the signature of Brad Binder while it is Loris Capirossi which will identify the part intended for the BMW. But without insulting the aforementioned, it is a safe bet that it is the product planned for the Yamaha which will be traded at the highest since characterized by the claws of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
