Several manufacturers, whose activity is partly linked to motorcycles, are making efforts to help the population fight the virus. We saw a few days ago that it was the case of Michelin, and this is also true for the Spanish oil company Repsol, known in GP for its support of the Honda team in MotoGP.

A short video was produced for this occasion, with Marc Márquez and his brother Álex (with mustache!) as headliners.

This video is in Spanish, with English subtitles, and easily understandable.

This is all the more a good initiative as gel is not easily found everywhere, and the opportunity to make it at home should therefore not be overlooked.

Here is the press release attached to the video:

“Repsol adapted its facilities at the Tech Lab, where the fuel and lubricant for the MotoGP motorcycles of Marc and Álex Márquez are produced, and in four weeks produced 30 liters of a disinfectant solution which were donated to different hospitals public. »

“During the Covid-19 pandemic, it is very important to follow specific hygiene guidelines to stop infection. This is why Marc and Álex Márquez wanted to know how we can produce hydroalcoholic gel with products that we usually have at home. »

“In this video tutorial, the two men closely follow the steps of scientist David Purificación Corral, mixing the elements safely and taking the correct steps to achieve the right mixture. It is a process that can be followed by anyone interested in making hydroalcoholic gel at home, using the necessary products purchased in pharmacies and/or supermarkets and following the guidelines indicated for correct handling. »

“Find out how our champions do it! »
