It’s a Xavi Verge conqueror who has finished with his first day of the Spanish Grand Prix Moto2 version. In spirit since the start of this season on a Mistral 610 which is blowing a new wind on the Tech3 adventure in Moto2, the Spaniard registered third at the end of a Friday which confirms his convincing start to the season which places him in the top 5 of the championship after three Grand Prix contested.
An ascending current for this French motorcycle which started with a good seventh position in the morning in the rain and ended in apotheosis with a third time on the dry asphalt in the afternoon: “ this first day was a good start and I can't wait to continue like this for tomorrow » commented the pilotHervé Poncharal.
« In the rain of FP1, I felt comfortable and progressed with each lap. I attacked and placed seventh. Then the track dried and I started FP2 with hard tires. There too, the sensations were good from the start. By mounting the softs, we also made other adjustments which propelled us to the top of the hierarchy. I improved each time and had a solid time. I am happy to start this Grand Prix third. There is still work to do but we will continue like this ».
The second driver of the team, Remy gardner, for his part, was making his return after being injured in Argentina and missing out on Austin. The Australian is twenty-ninth.
