There will be two bikes entered in the next Moto2 Spanish Grand Prix next weekend. Dominique Aegerter may have been abandoned in the middle of the Grand Prix of the Americas by Danny Kent who has undoubtedly turned his back on his career, but in Jerez, the Kiefer team box will be complete. A Suter chassis faithful will be there. A certain Federico Fuligni, aged 21.

At Kiefer and even in the entourage of Danny Kent, we still have not understood what happened in the head of the British rider, Moto3 World Champion in 2015. But the page has now been turned. The fourth meeting of the year in Moto2 will indeed mark the arrival in the deep end of Frederick Fuligni.

The Bolognese, however, is only assured of his fate for this single Spanish Grand Prix: “lThe team's decision on which driver will continue the 2017 season with Dominique Aegerter is still under review » says the Kiefer team. “ The answer will not be long. In the meantime, we are happy to announce the young and ambitious Federico Fuligni as his replacement. He will only do the Jerez race with the team's Suter MMX2 ».

This will not be the first experience of Soots at this level. He already has seven Grands Prix to his credit, including the 2016 final in Valencia. His best performance was an eighteenth position at Misano. He has a good knowledge of the Suter chassis to use it during these favorite races which make up the Moto2 European Championship calendar.

« This is of course a great opportunity. » commented the pilot. “ Riding with the best riders in the world is always something special and I found a Suter again after the European Championship two years ago. However, I will discover a new team and different requirements. I will try to adapt as quickly as possible. I'll do my best. It's a challenge I'm ready to take on ».

agitated dreamed better as a new teammate, but he will have to make do with this Italian who, unlike the deserting Englishman, should stay until the end of his mission.
