Before this session which takes place at the time of the Spanish Grand Prix, and where the pilots therefore take the opportunity to test their motorcycles in racing conditions (full tank, tires intended for the race and long run), we only know that two things: on the one hand, Dani Pedrosa has dominated all the sessions this year, in the dry and the wet, on the other hand the track will be hot and, particularity of Spanish circuits, slippery, or, as the English say, “ greasy”.

In fact, the surface is already at 43°, while the ambient temperature is 25°, when the MotoGP sets off for this session.

This morning's FP3 presented a heterogeneous panorama with a Honda, a Ducati and a Yamaha in the first three places. And if Dani Pedrosa seems untouchable for the moment, behind the contenders remain numerous since the result of the third session was mainly linked to the use of soft rear tires during the last five minutes.

Calmer should therefore be this session in which Johann zarco will perhaps benefit from an offbeat strategy, since he was the only one to carry out a 12-lap race simulation this morning.

High temperatures prompt drivers to fit harder tires than usual, such Jorge Lorenzo who uses a hard/medium combination, or Valentino Rossi who tries a hard/hard configuration.

However, it is good Jonas Folger in medium/medium who first of all places his name at the top of the provisional ranking in 1'39.675 while Andrea Dovizioso lack of impact Johann zarco (medium/hard).

At mid-session, Marc Márquez (dur/dur) takes command in 1'39.467 ahead Folger, Lorenzo, Crutchlow, Dovizioso, Pedrosa, Bautista, Miller, Iannone and Vinales.

Johann zarco is then in 15th position, Valentino Rossi at the 20th. The first 16 drivers appear in the same second.

When everyone stops, Valentino Rossi stays on the track and takes the opportunity to position himself in fifth place.

When restarted, this time in medium/medium, John Zarco lights all these partials in orange and takes second position in front of his teammate.

We will not fail to observe the fine performance of Tito Rabat, 10th, as well as the poor performance of Maverick Vinales, 16rd.
