Since'Hervé Poncharal drew our attention to the new fairing of the Yamaha M1, everyone has seen these famous rounded sides to integrate fins and thus comply with the 2017 regulations

In this photo extract released by Michelin we can see these appendages particularly clearly, apparently four in number (two at the entrance, two at the exit).

But as a result, the eye, focused by this novelty, has often forgotten to explore the rest of the machine of Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales. However, although less spectacular, we can nevertheless discover two small new appendages, at the end of the fork crown.

Given their less understandable shape than that of the integrated fins, we can be certain that it is the result of work in a wind tunnel, undoubtedly intended to reduce drag and/or to channel the air towards an area precise.
