Aprilia has undoubtedly made progress in recent races. Coincidence or not, the RS–GP had a new chassis there, undoubtedly since Mugello.

Is this the one we photographed yesterday, or is this still a more recent development?

Impossible to answer, but the fact remains that the one lined up at Brno this weekend includes removable engine mounting legs, contrary to the brand's tradition which, until now, made them an integral part of the chassis. That is to say welded.

Using removable legs allows you to have several models of different rigidities in order to best adapt to the needs of each circuit.

Until now, this concept was only used by Suzuki in MotoGP, in an apparently riveted version (see details here).
