No less than 5 temperature sensors pointed at the rear tire of the official Yamahas can be seen in this photo released by Michelin.

Initially, the latter were only authorized for testing, but this is no longer the case today. They are supplemented by the obligatory element fixed inside the rim which transmits not only the pressure of the tire but often its internal temperature.

In addition to its sometimes spectacular visual appearance and the pilot's sensations, there are 6 elements to know how the rear tire is working, without even mentioning the rear wheel rotation sensors which make it possible to detect the slightest slip.
