The RC213V 2022 edition has a new engine, a new chassis, new exhausts, a new rear loop associated with a redesigned saddle, a new aerodynamic package, new fairings and, for the first time, we see Honda equipping a motorcycle with a mass damper, following the example of Ducati and Aprilia.

Overall, it seems Honda's main goal was to look for grip, and it seems to have found it. Honda's biggest weakness in recent years has been rear grip, whether entering, mid-corner or exiting corners. And for this, HRC engineers are working hard by testing 3 different chassis to determine which one will be the most effective for this season which promises to be exciting!

We observe here the 2022 chassis that HRC had already tested in Jerez. It appears to be largely based on last season's Assen chassis and so far, that's what Honda riders have relied on to develop the 213 RC2022V.

But at Sepang, during the official tests, an evolution of this came into action, with this weld in the axis of the main beam, as well as the section cut towards the top of the main beam is slightly larger than that of the previous image.

At this stage, only Takaaki Nakagami has wanted to test this chassis so far.

But it was on this third chassis that the two factory drivers did all their tests at Sepang. It appears to be the most consistent for the 2022 prototype, as Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro used it on both of their bikes, while Takaaki Nakagami and Alex Marquez also used it on one of their 2 machines.
