Formula 750 and its 200 Mile races made the 70s vibrate. Daytona, Imola and PAUL RICARD were the scene of the most beautiful clashes.
At the Sunday Ride Classic 2018, a special series will bring these machines back to life with a host of vintage stars:
Sunday March 25 at the very beginning of the afternoon, the Yamaha TZ 750, Suzuki TR, Kawasaki H2 R but also the BSA, Triumph, Norton Honda CR 750, all the machines brought together by the Spirit of Speed association which made the golden era of the Moto Journal 200 (200 Miles du Paul Ricard) will meet for 20 minutes of show!
On the grid, Steve Baker, Christian Sarron, Hubert Rigal, and many others who have run these events will be present.
The start will be given by 2 former winners of the 200 miles: Patrick FERNANDEZ and Virginio FERRARI
Vice World Champion 500 79, winner of the Moto Journal 200 1979, Virginio Ferrari, Suzuki Grand Prix rider, then Yamaha, Paton, Ducati and Cagiva team manager in 500 will be present at the SRC for the first time!
He will start the Moto Journal 200 Miles demo on Sunday afternoon with patrick fernandez :
Triple Grand Prix winner: 350 cc in 3 (French Grand Prix) 1979 (Austrian Grand Prix), then in the 1981 cc in 250 in South Africa
He finished runner-up in the 350 cc world championship in 3, and third in the 1979 cc world championship in 250.
And above all he won the Moto Journal 200 in 1980
The winner of the 200 Miles 79 with that of 1980!
