It's called ELECTRICa Project and it's an open window towards the mobility of tomorrow. Like what was done with the introduction of the 660 platform, which was born thinking about the younger generation of bikers by creating a series of high-performance, light and fun motorcycles, ELECTRICa is therefore dedicated to the next generation.
The project uses the knowledge made available by the Piaggio group, which has been working on electric propulsion since 1975, from the Vespa to the MP3 Hybrid.
The possibilities introduced by digitalization and networks are producing a radical change in everyone's lifestyle. Many activities can be carried out remotely and therefore travel needs will also change.
ELECTRICa is a light, zero-emission motorcycle, with a fun ride and, in the manufacturer's intentions, capable of restoring maximum freedom and pleasure even in the metropolises of the near future.
The front presents a modern interpretation of the typical Aprilia optical group, and favors taut and resolutely sporty lines. Accessibility is guaranteed by the compact dimensions and the low height of the saddle compared to the ground, but also by the lightness and the presence of the two brake controls on the handlebars, which facilitates the choice of using a scooter .
The electric motor is positioned in the central area and uses a chain final drive. The presence of the keyless system and the LCD instrumentation introduce the theme of technology focused on practicality and that of active electronic aids for a safe driving experience.
