As the global motorcycle industry strengthens its goal of achieving carbon neutrality, Kawasaki has emphasized its strategy. Eager to show that green is more than the brand color, the Japanese manufacturer has adopted the expression "Go with Green Power" as the general theme of its presentation at EICMA 2022, where 3 electric and hybrid vehicles as well as a hydrogen prototype have been unveiled.

During a speech at the brand's booth, Kawasaki Motors Corporation President Mr. Hiroshi Ito unveiled a new lineup of Kawasaki models and prototypes while giving more details on the company's vision, focused on carbon neutrality.

While we've had fleeting glimpses of Kawasaki's electric and hybrid motorcycle plans in the past, including during the Intermot show, this is the most comprehensive view of Kawasaki's future lineup that we've had so far.

In addition to the Z family battery electric motorcycle intended to meet the needs of residents of European metropolises and presented for the first time in prototype form at Intermot, Mr. Ito also unveiled a Ninja equipped with the same dual battery system removable and of the same maximum capacity of 3,0 kWh. Both machines have been designed to comply with European regulations relating to the A1 permit and will be marketed during 2023.

Mr. Ito presented Kawasaki's first ever hybrid motorcycle in European preview form, in prototype form, to highlight Kawasaki's commitment to the research and development of other types of innovative vehicles. Able to quickly and easily switch from its thermal engine to its electric motor, this hybrid motorcycle is currently intended to be part of the Kawasaki 2024 range.

While highlighting Kawasaki's commitment to internal combustion engines and the search for new types of fuel, Mr. Ito also unveiled a new logo highlighting the new "Go with Green Power" initiative which symbolizes Kawasaki's goal of achieving carbon neutrality within a strategic time frame.
