Of course, she has not yet been seen in the street, but having recently published several patents regarding the development of hybrid motorcycles, the Japanese company unveiled a video showing a motorcycle prototype equipped with a hybrid system operating on a test bench. From theory to practice, there seems to be only one step!

While patents alone are far from a guarantee that a technology will enter production, Kawasaki has filed no fewer than 7 separate patents relating to this machine in the last 12 months alone, suggesting that a serious Development work is underway.

This week, Kawasaki has removed doubts about the credibility of these patents by officially presenting its plans for the technological future of the brand, starting with its first hybrid motorcycle. The video shows how a hybrid system on a motorcycle could work in the future, reveals some important information and even lets us hear the sound of its new type of engine on a two-wheeler.

Thanks to the “Rideology” system, which is a kind of artificial intelligence, the motorcycle will know where it is (in town, on the highway or on a country road) in order to automatically adapt the engine to the needs. As on a hybrid car, this motorcycle will thus be equipped with two motors, one electric and one thermal, capable of evolving only in electric mode, in a hybrid manner or only in thermal mode, depending on the engine speed and therefore possibly its location.

Times are changing, we'll have to get used to it!
