It seems that the Chinese from Benda want to try again to introduce the turbo in series on a small displacement, at least judging by a teaser that they published on the internet: The silhouette of a sports motorcycle appears, accompanied by the inscription VTR-300 Turbo.

The Asian market is buoyant for medium-sized cars: In these regions, 300 to 400 cc sports cars are the equivalent of super sports cars in Europe. In addition, these machines are regularly entered in the Supersport 300 Championship: It is therefore not surprising that the race for performance is also unleashed on these machines, even going so far as to consider installing turbochargers to improve the power of these small twin-cylinders. .

Although we don't have more information than a name and a silhouette, Benda has particularly attracted attention with the VTR-300. Provided Chinese companies follow nomenclature standards, we can assume that 'T' stands for Twin (rather than Turbo) and 'R' stands for 'Racing'.

The engine could be based on the V-twin of 298 tsp of the BD-300 already present in their range, and, depending on the objectives that the technical teams set, the power will probably reach 50 hp. This would surely make it an interesting new rival against the Kawasaki ZX-25R and Honda CBR250R.

The presentation is expected soon in China, undoubtedly to properly celebrate the Chinese New Year (February 12)
