Benelli has worked hard in recent months. With the release of new models in its parent company QJ Motor's home country of China hinting at all kinds of new and exciting models, expectations are high for the Chinese-owned Italian company. While whether or not these China-specific versions will turn into Benelli-badged machines remains up for debate, one thing that is certain is that Benelli will be present at EICMA 2021.

To create even more desire among its customers, Benelli has released a teaser for its upcoming adventure machine, the TRK 800, on YouTube and other social media platforms. Although they haven't disclosed any technical details about the motorcycle, it gives us a glimpse of the styling and exterior features of the TRK 800. For starters, it's clear that the TRK 800 will carry a lot of styling callbacks from its little successful sibling, the TRK 502. We do, however, see a few premium elements that will surely set the TRK 800 apart.

Perhaps the most striking element when it comes to the TRK 800's design would be its muscular and sharp styling. It's clear that Benelli is taking a more modern and sporty approach to motorcycle design, as opposed to the rugged Dakar styling we see in Yamaha's Ténéré 700 and the recently revealed Aprilia Tuareg 660. At this stage, no information has leaked concerning the engine that the TRK 800 will carry under its muscular fairing. However, Italian motorcycling magazine Motociclismo suggests that it will likely be the 754cc inline-twin engine found in the Leoncino 800.

Given its displacement of 700 cc, it is obvious that this motorcycle will be Benelli's entry into the very popular adventure machine segment currently dominated by the KTM 790 Adventure and the aforementioned Yamaha Ténéré 700. The rest of the details and specifications, including its electronic features and, above all, its price, have not yet been revealed. We will have to wait until EICMA for everything to be officially revealed.
