The Council of State gives the government two months to introduce technical inspections for two-wheelers!
The highest French administrative court, the Council of State, which was seized in summary proceedings by the Respire, Ras le Scoot and Paris Sans Voitures associations, has just given an ultimatum to the government this Thursday, June 1 and “take the order implementing the decree of August 9, 2021 relating to the establishment of technical inspection of two- or three-wheeled motorized vehicles and motorized quadricycles within a period of two months from the notification of this decision ».
In this already very dark period and after a series of twists and turns, it is a hard blow for the wallets of bikers and for the government which had tried everything to postpone until after the elections the technical inspection of motorcycles decided at European level.
This time, there is no way to escape it and an implementation schedule must be presented in the coming days, while no control center has been equipped and trained to receive the motorcycles.
Clearly, apart from the serial numbers (and then again), not much can be controlled in the current state, but what is certain is that it will still be necessary to waste time and money to be able to ride…
