The world is demanding ever more environmentally friendly products and the automotive sector is no exception. It is therefore entirely logical that Brembo invests on a daily basis to optimize its production processes and develop new solutions aimed at creating the mobility of the future, more efficient and more respectful of the environment.

Brembo, leader in the development and production of high-performance braking systems, unveils the Greenance Kit Concept. This new jointly developed range of combined special alloy discs and dedicated brake pads significantly enriches Brembo's Aftermarket range. Directly derived from the company's extensive and ongoing innovation in the original equipment market, Brembo's latest solution aims to combine optimal braking performance with reduced environmental impact, while increasing service life some discs.

Thanks to Brembo's technological know-how and continuous research and development, the Greenance Kit Concept guarantees the highest technical and quality standards, found in all Brembo products. At the same time, it ensures a much lower environmental impact with a significant reduction in emissions: 83% in PM10 and 80% in PM2,5. These solutions have already passed the ECE-R90 homologation tests as well as the most severe reference road tests, which are carried out by the company's technicians, according to Brembo's strict requirements.

Taking its name from the fusion of the words “GREEN” and “PERFORMANCE”, the concept of the Brembo Greenance kit is a solution that anticipates low environmental impact requirements. It meets both customer expectations and their desire to contribute to a sustainable environment, without any compromise on the best braking performance.

“Innovative and revolutionary, the Greenance Kit Concept incorporates some of the most relevant cornerstones of Brembo’s DNA,” says Roberto Caravati, COO of Brembo Aftermarket GBU. “We have an ongoing commitment to sustainability that is coupled with industry-leading performance and a drive to seize and anticipate the automotive industry's upcoming and most challenging opportunities and megatrends, meaning we let us actively contribute to better and more sustainable future mobility. »

“We are always working to improve our production processes and introduce new and better solutions, more innovative and respectful of the planet and the environment. The Greenance Kit Concept makes a further contribution in this direction and to our mission to be a solutions provider,” he concluded.

Finally, Brembo said the Greenance product line will be available on the market as a solution for discs and pads in the second quarter of 2023. This will include aftermarket solutions for cars and hopefully motorcycles. However, there is no specific information yet on which models, whether two-wheeled or four-wheeled, will get products made for their respective systems.
