Brembo has long been at the top of performance in terms of brakes, whether for automobiles or motorcycles. At EICMA 2022, Brembo presented its latest innovations for racing and performance-focused braking systems, including a new set of calipers, master cylinder and pads. Developed according to the highest performance requirements, Brembo's new technology is perfectly suited to the highest performance sports cars.

First of all, Brembo has improved its already proven monobloc caliper technology with the new GP4-MS caliper. According to Brembo, this new caliper was born on the track and designed for the road. It contains all the latest technologies, processes and the most innovative materials. The new Brembo GP4-MS combines solid aluminum machining with one-piece technology, just like the brakes found on MotoGP prototypes and WorldSBK category bikes. Additionally, through the use of solid aluminum machining, the GP4-MS is much more resistant to wear than standard cast iron calipers.

To complement this GP4-MS caliper, Brembo has also developed a new master cylinder, to provide the best possible feeling. The 19RCS Corsa Corta RR is the lightest, most track-focused Brembo master cylinder in the lineup, designed to provide superior braking feel and adjustability. It features a darker hard oxidized titanium gray finish than found on previous MCS and RCS master cylinder models, as this treatment ensures greater durability while maintaining its lightweight construction. So, the 19RCS Corsa Corta RR is the closest thing to a master cylinder that meets the requirements of the Moto2 category.

The brake lever has also been modified to promote a more intuitive braking response. Of course, this new 19RCS Corsa Corta RR allows for fine adjustment of the brake, as well as the distance from the lever to the handlebars via a selector located on the top, allowing riders to easily adjust the system to their preferences on the fly.

Finally, Brembo is looking towards a greener and more sustainable future with the release of its new Greenance pads. Playing on the words “Green” and “Performance”, Greenance pads have been designed to maintain excellent performance, even in the event of a rise in temperature. Brembo claims that rigorous testing has been performed on these pads, both on the dyno and on the track, and that these pads exhibit more stable performance across a variety of operating temperatures.

Brembo has formulated the Greenance pad compounds without the use of copper and nickel, as well as without antimony or asbestos. On top of that, when Brembo's plans to eliminate the use of methane during production are realized, the company expects to save around 176 tonnes of CO2 per year.
