Ever since CFMOTO launched the SR-C21 concept, the public has been wondering if dreams will ever come true. With the launch of the 450SR, CFMOTO is bringing its futuristic concept bike to life.

Globally, mid-displacement motorcycles have a large potential market. More and more young riders are expecting motorcycles of a high technical level and very advanced technology.

At CFMOTO the 400cc platform had to be renewed: the 450SR therefore offers a double opportunity in the segment with advanced upgrades in these intermediate displacements, mixing performance and comfort.

Power

The 450 SR has a parallel twin engine with an output of 35kw @ 9500rpm (approximately 47,5 hp) and max torque. of 39N.m @ 6500rpm. Power is linear, starts are quick and acceleration is sharp.

The top speed approaches 200km/h, and the acceleration from 0 to 100km/h is 4,8s, comparable to the power level of many 600cc. The crankshaft is pitched at 3°, with a character similar to that of V-shaped engines.

In order to cancel out any vibrations, the 450SR engine is equipped with a double balance shaft. The engine is also placed in a position favoring the motorcycle's center of gravity, thus increasing driving stability without reducing the feeling of handling.

 

 

A design for performance

The final design of the 450SR was born after more than 200 aerodynamic simulations, more than 30 hours of wind tunnel aerodynamic testing and more than 20 design optimizations. But the lines of the 450 SR are not limited to a sleek and innovative aesthetic, they also give better performance to the machine.

  • The split front fascia highlights the styling of the SR Series and the optimized grooves on both sides of the front provide reduced air resistance to aid performance.
  • The front spoilers improve precision in sports driving and provide 1,6 times the downforce at high speeds, improving vehicle stability at high speeds.
  • The curved surface of the bubble is reduced from 58° to 48°, effectively improving airflow.
  • The fairing design promotes aerodynamic performance and gives an immediately identifiable line to the 450SR. The aerodynamic work helps prevent the wind from forming turbulence in the body and improves the stability of the vehicle.
  • The shape of the saddle is conducive to the passage of air flow and reduces the formation of turbulence at the rear while reducing aerodynamic drag.
  • The design of the flowing headlights is specific in order to give an “aggressive look” and the treatment of the rear lights is both ultra innovative and creative while maintaining very good visibility properties.

 

 

Reliable and durable, easy to maintain

The 450SR has undergone more than 4500 hours of continuous operation at full load during the testing phase, with consistent and reliable quality.

With the use of a built-in water pump and quick-release air filter, maintenance is more convenient. Slotted connecting rods have better longevity, and the engine uses eccentric technology for the crankshaft to reduce friction and piston wear.

The 450 SR is also equipped with a unique technology usually used on larger displacements: the oil groove technology used in the bushings reduces friction and improves durability. On the other hand, oil cooling ensures better engine operating temperature and extends the life of the entire machine.

DID chains, automotive grade ASP valve springs and other components are used to improve overall durability.

 

 

Safety, full guarantee

Brembo calipers guarantee controlled braking force at all times. Additionally, Bosch ABS prevents the wheels from locking and losing traction during emergency braking.

The choice of the FCC slipper clutch facilitates gear changes in sporty use and keeps the vehicle stable during rapid downshifts.

The controls, horn, indicator and screen menu button are repositioned for easier use.

The integration of the front indicator into the rearview mirror, and the automatic retraction when the vehicle is hit or falls to the ground prevents breakage and protects the elements.

 

 

TFT screen and USB ports

The 5-inch curved TFT screen features simple navigation, a built-in shift reminder and a host of useful features.

We note the presence of a type C/type A charging port, to meet the needs of different models of mobile phones while driving.
