For this new season, RST, the English brand inseparable from the Tourist Trophy, is offering two new colors for its flagship suit. Indeed the Pro Series Airbag which is a great success since its launch last year among amateur and experienced pilots has found its place on the circuits of Europe with its integrated wireless Airbag technology and its price as arguments!
For spring, a new graphic design available in two versions is arriving in the Bihr 2022 catalog. A camo graphic in fluorescent or red, the antithesis of conventional designs with the sole aim of electrifying the sporting spirit of occasional pilots, and fans of driving days.
Regarding the Pro Series Airbag suit, RST benefits from real experience in the sports and racing segment through a long involvement with the Tourist Trophy, both on the driver's side and on the organizer's side. For the first, RST equips a good number of drivers entered in the different categories, for the second the brand has been the official safety partner of the event for many years.
To inaugurate the new collection, RST offers the Pro Series Airbag suit which integrates Airbag equipment compatible with In&Motion wireless technology. It finds its place in the Bihr catalog as safety equipment intended for occasional pilots and enthusiasts of days of driving. Less exclusive than the V4.1 suit, it presents itself as an alternative for those looking for combined class AAA CE certified equipment with an integrated airbag.
The team in charge of development is made up of passionate motorcyclists who compete at a high level; they make it a point of honor to ensure that the products delivered to customers comply with their specifications. The Pro Series Airbag suit is one example, made from quality cowhide leather pieces – full grain with a thickness of 1,1 to 1,3 mm, some of which are doubled for better resistance in Drop cases and other perforated microphones to promote air circulation inside the equipment.
For comfort and ease, in addition to the various stretch zones, neoprene inserts are applied to the wrists, ankles and neck, all thus contributing to general comfort in use. The bovine leather used to make the equipment is of superior quality. Flexible and resistant, it is also used to make stretchable parts (four directions) to provide amplitude in the movements of the arms and legs, both on and next to the motorcycle. They are intended to stretch to accompany the deployment of the internal airbag when it is triggered and thus increase the interior volume without compressing the driver. To complete this construction, stretch zones extend along the body, on each side to the arms and upper chest.
All standard protection elements are present. A Kevlar insert inside the equipment protects the buttocks – coccyx area from overheating in the event of a slip. While the inner side of the knees receives a rubberized DuPont™ Kevlar® application to increase grip on the tank. The interior of the suit is equipped with a fixed, quick-drying 3D mesh lining, in use, moisture is dissipated more quickly thanks to the ventilated leather panels on the chest, the interior of the thighs and back.
In terms of protection, the Pro Series Airbag model benefits from an approved protection kit that complies with current European standards on the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips. In addition, external TPU reinforcements at the shoulders and elbows improve shock absorption and abrasion resistance while helping to reinforce the sporty look of the suit.
