If there is one sector in which R&D continues to progress, it is that of motorcycle tires, in particular across the Rhine with the release this winter of the fourth generation of the ContiRoadAttack. The Sport-Touring segment is the largest on the market with numerous machines as varied as they are efficient. As a result, Continental continues to advance its flagship product, the first generation of which appeared in 2005 with the introduction of technology ZeroDegree. Other technologies followed with the releases of subsequent generations until the much-noticed ContiRoadAttack 3 in 2017. The new ContiRoadAttack 4 will in turn leave its mark in this industrial adventure by outclassing its predecessor thanks to the arrival of a new compound rubber and a new profile combined with the brand's latest technologies.

Ce Conti Road Attack 4 which therefore sports a completely new profile, achieves the technical feat of bringing together two worlds: tourism on the one hand and hypersportivity on the other. In a particularly competitive market, it pushes even further the characteristic limits of the Sport-Touring segment which are traditionally: mileage performance, comfort around handling and stability, and finally wet grip. But it is in the hypersports tire category that the Conti Road Attack 4 also draws part of its resources in order to complete its DNA and thus meet the ever more extreme demands of the latest generation touring motorcycles in terms of performance. Which are so high that they open the way to a new segment: Hyper-Touring.

After winning several tests with the ContiRoadAttack 3, Continental is raising the technical level of its premium tire by introducing the new ContiRoadAttack 4, result of ongoing development on the part of the manufacturer. On the Touring side, there are three important characteristics which were the center of all the concerns of German engineers to meet market expectations: grip on wet roads, rapid temperature rise, and finally road behavior with handling and stability.
Always a reference on wet ground.
Thanks to technology TractionSkin, the tire is pre-run in and benefits from a rapid rise in temperature for better driving pleasure from the first turns of the wheel. However, it is on wet roads that the Conti Road Attack 4 continues to progress and is particularly effective with technology RainGrip whose new compound promotes grip in the rain by limiting the drop in temperature. Characteristics reinforced by the new profile of the tire whose grooves allow large quantities of water to be evacuated more effectively to the outside.

Maneuverability and driving pleasure.
Continental tires stand out from the first turns of the wheel for their great maneuverability at low speed. A feeling that is confirmed very quickly after just a few kilometers thanks to technology EasyHandling which makes motorcycling both easy, incredibly precise and responsive. An accentuated feeling thanks to a front tire benefiting from a new construction providing more agility and delivering more information about the state of the road.

Technology ZeroDegree provides great stability at high speed thanks to a steel belt on the carcass. This belt is wound continuously from one sidewall to the other over the entire width of the tire. The metal cable is therefore wound in the direction of rotation of the wheel (that is to say at 0° from the perpendicular to the ground) the tire thus belted no longer deforms under the action of centrifugal forces and provides precision and comfort.

Maximum angle grip in complete safety.
The new design reveals two new bands devoid of sculptures on the exteriors. These areas slicks » provide exceptional grip when the inclination is maximum, which has the immediate consequence of acting on the feeling of security that the user seeks when he pushes his machine to its limits. It is in this context that technology comes into play GripLimit Feedback reserved until now for hypersports tires, but which can now be found on the Conti Road Attack 4 in order to send the pilot better feedback when he is on the angle and reaches the maximum inclination.

In conclusion, in addition to the hyper-sportiness of the model pushed to its peak with the integration of technology GripLimit Feedback, the fourth generation of ContiRoadAttack is making progress in particular on three points. Three fundamental criteria according to Continental and which characterize premium motorcycle tires. First of all, a rapid rise in temperature in order to obtain a high-performance tire after a few seconds of use. But also high grip in the wet for safe driving and, finally, astonishing and durable comfort due to its design and profile, thus meeting the new requirements of powerful modern machines and their driving assistance systems.
ContiRoadAttack 4 highlights:
- Improved temperature rise (compared to CRA3)
- Improved handling and behavior (compared to CRA3)
- Improved grip in the wet (compared to CRA3)
- No break-in thanks to technology TractionSkin
- Technology Introduction GripLimit Feedback, for feedback to the pilot when reaching maximum inclination

ContiRoadAttack 4 main features:
- Approved Hyper-Touring tire (100% road – all seasons)
- GripLimit Feedback, technology from hypersport tires, for the first time it is added to a Sport-Touring tire
- No break-in thanks to technology TractionSkin, when leaving the mold, the surface of the tires is micro-roughened, or pre-broken for safe driving from the first turns of the wheel
- Technology RainGrip for even more grip on wet surfaces, with greater tread depth and a new compound
- Technology MutliGrip: continuous and homogeneous grip when turning, more mileage on the tread
- Technology ZeroDegree: steel belt at zero degree relative to the longitudinal line of the tire
- Technology EasyHandlingat low speeds, the tires make the bike easy, incredibly precise and responsive.
- Manufactured in Germany in Korbach
