THE ACTORS OF MOTORIZED 2 WHEELS ARE MOBILIZING!

France Wolf – National Co-Coordinator of the French Federation of Angry Bikers and Jacques Bolle – President of the French Motorcycling Federation brought together the main players in Motorized 19 Wheels on Friday January 2 at the FFM Headquarters.
Were present, Edith Quincé – President of the Collective for the Defense of Green Leisure, Nadine Annelot – President of the National Council of Automotive Professions – 2-wheel sector and Alain Martin – National Secretary of the National Council of Automotive Professions – Education Road.

With as an alibi, an objective that may seem legitimate (less than 2000 car and motorcycle deaths by 2020 on French roads), the State has gone on the offensive by enacting new constructive measures for some, such as the fight reinforced against driving under the influence of alcohol and telephone driving, but also repressive rather than preventive for others.
The last of these consists of lowering the speed limit on the secondary network by 10 km/h from July 1, 2018, although the experiments carried out in this area have not been very conclusive.
Once again, unfortunately, communication trumped efficiency. An alarmist trend when several efficient levers could contribute concretely to the reduction in accident rates among users of 2 Motorized Wheels. Let us remember that the claims experience of the latter has rather declined in recent years.
Faced with these challenges, the FFM, the FFMC, the CODEVER, the CNPA 2-wheel sector and the CNPA Education Routière have decided to mobilize and remind the government of 3 major priority areas which would really save lives:

• Training/education
• Incentives for 2WD user equipment
• Road infrastructure

The FFM, the FFMC, the CODEVER, the CNPA 2-wheel sector and the CNPA Road Education have agreed to meet soon to work together in this direction.
