The XDiavel Nera will be produced in a numbered limited series of 500 units: it is characterized by an elegant “Black on Black” livery and a special customizable Pelle Frau saddle.

The saddle may not be the most eye-catching feature, but the XDiavel Nera is covered in Pelle Frau leather, created using a special tanning process and hand-finished in a choice of five colors, which makes it rather more exotic than the saddle.

 

 

If you are one of the 500 lucky customers to get an XDiavel Nera, you are faced with the decision regarding the color of the Pelle Frau saddle, which is the centerpiece of this partnership, handmade with natural leather by Poltrona Frau. First there's "Siam Red", the brightest option offered and the one that matches the Ducati Red finish on the XDiavel's brake calipers and cylinder head covers. The “Steel Blue” finish offers a more muted look, with a gray-blue tint, while the “Cemento” is a pure gray. The 'India' option is a dark beige color, and finally there is 'Selva', meaning forest in Italian, which is a very dark green. Buyers of the XDiavel Nera will also receive a Pelle Frau leather key ring and briefcase to match the color of the saddle.

From a technical point of view, the XDiavel Nera expresses the power of opposites, combining the relaxed pace with the sporty handling and exciting performance of Ducati. The 1262cc twin-cylinder Testastretta DVT is the beating heart of the XDiavel. This engine offers a maximum power of 160 hp at 9 rpm and a maximum torque of 500 mkg at 13,0 rpm. Variable valve timing with desmodromic timing achieves theoretically contradictory goals: quick, smooth response at low revs, generous torque throughout the curve, and sporty performance when the throttle is wide open.
