Born in 2016 and based in Toulouse, the EyeLights start-up presented at the Milan show a new version of its head-up display intended for motorcycles and scooters. A technological innovation that allows information to be viewed directly on the windshield of the two-wheeler.

Presented during EICMA, the international motorcycle show in Milan, the start-up's solution EyeLights could well simplify the lives of many motorcyclists or scooter riders. The Toulouse-based company specializing in augmented reality technologies is inspired by technologies present in aviation and automobiles.

The idea is simple: allow the rider to view travel and navigation information directly on the windshield or the upper screen of his two-wheeler. An innovation designed to adapt to any motorcycle or scooter cockpit (a Yamaha NMax is taken as an example), which brings technology well known in the automotive world to that of motorized two-wheelers.

Wirelessly connected to the phone, the projector allows Waze, phone calls or other navigation applications to be displayed directly in the rider's field of vision. The patented technology is a safer alternative to the phone holder, as information is directly displayed in the rider's field of vision. In addition to improving active safety, the projector also offers better visibility with images 10 times brighter compared to current screen technologies (10000 nits for EyeLights technology compared to 1000 nits for standard screens). Provided you have a windshield or a high screen, obviously.

This head-up display for motorcycles and scooters should arrive on the market in the first quarter of 2022. This technological solution complements the offer called EyeRide and which projects a head-up display inside the helmet for €499.
