Honda fans around the world were buzzing in June 2022: that's when Honda Spain first gave us a glimpse of sketches of the new Honda Hornet Concept. On top of that, they also released a behind-the-scenes video, giving us a glimpse into the process and thinking that went into its creation.

While we knew this was a Honda Europe design effort, including serious input from Honda Italia, the only web page to learn more about the Honda Hornet was previously hosted on Honda's Facebook page Spain. Now, in August 2022, new information regarding the new Hornet is available on the Honda Italia website – and better yet, there is a new video.

This time the teaser is hosted on the Honda Italia Facebook page. Although it's only 15 seconds long and still doesn't show us much, it at least gives us a very good aural overview of the bike. Most people have speculated that it will be a 750cc twin – and from the sound of this video, they're not wrong.

The final slide at the end of the video displays the new Hornet logo, along with the slogan "Shake the Hive." Meanwhile, the text accompanying the video roughly translates to “the hive is in turmoil!” Are you ready for the return of a legend? » It then invites you to go to the Honda Italia page to enter your information and stay up to date on all the latest news regarding the new Hornet.

So far, Honda still hasn't officially announced the Hornet as anything other than a concept. However, with the amount of teasers the company has revealed, it seems very unlikely that it will remain a concept for much longer. Given the timing of this ramp-up, it's entirely credible that Honda plans to officially introduce a Hornet at EICMA 2022.
