The teaser had put us on the right track and, as we had already predicted, Husqvarna presented yesterday the 125 version of the Svartpilen. A motorcycle obviously intended for young people and which represents the continued expansion of the Swedish range, which shares some of the components and the concept of a light, compact and agile motorcycle with its big sisters the Svartpilen 201 and 701.

Husqvarna has just presented the Svartpilen 125, with the aim of opening the world of urban exploration to a new generation of young people. Expanding the Svartpilen range to give young riders the opportunity to learn and ride safely, this single-cylinder combines intelligent design with premium components, handling and agility.

With confidence-inspiring ergonomics, unique styling and solid performance, the Svartpilen 125 offers a dynamic driving experience sharing many of the same components as its larger, larger-displacement Svartpilen sisters. Whether you're driving in city traffic or exploring the open road, the combination of a controllable and maneuverable Euro 125 approved 5 cc engine coupled with low fuel consumption makes the Svartpilen 125 the perfect choice.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is a derivative version of the KTM 125 Duke. It will use the same 125 cc liquid-cooled engine, with a power of 15 hp and a torque of 12Nm, associated with a 6-speed gearbox. The frame is also shared with the Duke 125.

To further enhance its urban credentials, the Svartpilen 125 is equipped with WP Apex suspension, 17-inch Pirelli Scorpion Rally SRT mixed tires, a 9,5 liter fuel tank and LED lighting system. All this to move a machine weighing 146 kg empty, barely 7 kg more than the 125 Duke.

The Svartpilen 125 will be available from February 2021 at all Husqvarna dealers at a price of €5510.

A “Functional Street” clothing line and a dedicated accessories line are also available.
