Kawasaki Motor Europe (KME) is postponing its manufacturer warranties with an extension of its warranty period following the confinement of the main countries.

Due to the impossibility of being able to use vehicles normally, different brands are postponing their manufacturer's warranty, Kawasaki is one of them with a duration of the standard warranty extended initially for a period covering the confinement of the main countries of the European market.
Note that nothing is set in stone and that this duration may be re-examined pending possible additional extensions depending on the evolution of the situation.

“Many Kawasaki owners in Europe are now in a situation where they cannot use their vehicle, or only on a very limited basis.
Working with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd, we wanted to extend the peace of mind period covered by the warranty so that when things return to normal, owners have not been deprived of the benefit of the comprehensive warranty without whether it's our fault or theirs. To begin with, we will automatically extend all applicable warranties during the lockdown period, and then we will review the situation in the future to decide if further extensions are applicable. Naturally, for products that are currently used for commercial purposes, for example in agriculture, the warranty period remains unchanged,” explains Hans Sipkema, Deputy Director of Technical Service at KME.

Various employees work from home, including customer assistance via the internet and telephone due to many dealerships being closed to the public. Dale Lockyear, Director of the Technical Information Section: “ Although many staff are working from home, we are in regular contact and working to train dealership staff on new models and keep information up to date. Rest assured that the flow of information continues even during these difficult times and customers can be confident that dealerships will have the latest specifications and information when they reopen their doors for sales and after-sales service in the future . »
