Kawasaki

Has the Kawasaki brand just created the Swiss army knife of the motorcycle world? This is what she seems to be aiming for with this Adaptive concept developed in collaboration with students from the IAAD (Institute of Applied Art and Design). The main idea? A motorcycle that adapts to its environment, both on asphalt and off-road...

Kawasaki will it tomorrow offer a range of motorcycles composed of… A single machine? Perhaps, and she would be unique in every sense of the word. Indeed, this opus would have the astonishing ability to adapt its configuration depending on the environment in which it is circulating. A prototype that the Akashi firm will undoubtedly not produce but which will certainly inspire the technologies of the future which will be developed in future models. Its appearance is reminiscent of a trail-type motorcycle, but the model could also enter the roadster segment. There Kawasaki Adaptive thus claims its unique characteristic and that is its adaptability to any type of terrain.

Thanks to the technology applied, it would be possible to stiffen the suspensions to have greater control of the motorcycle in corners while adapting the wheelbase. We could also have a softer level with the extended wheelbase to allow a more comfortable ride on off-road terrain.

Kawasaki has its source of inspiration for tomorrow

To Sergio Vicarelli, Director of Sales and Marketing at Kawasaki, who are " The Adaptive has an innovative design, attention to detail, first-rate technology for a concept that does not go unnoticed, which evolves and adapts to the roads that present themselves. Working with new ideas is always a pleasure and the IAAD guys did their job in an excellent way, offering lots of inspirations that will be a suggestion to Kawasaki's design team in the motorcycle department ».

We will have to wait for future international motorcycle shows, such as EICMA, which will be held next November, to find out if Kawasaki presents a motorcycle equipped with this technology, which therefore adapts to all terrains.
