A GT version of the 1290 Super Duke R? We suspected it. Today doubt has given way to stolen photos, shots taken by our colleagues at MCN, masters in the field.
Without much surprise, the future GT version of the biggest Duke takes up the arguments… well for most of the elements.
In these photos we see a rear frame repeating what was done on the old version (no aluminum element) while the swinging arm seems identical to the 2020 version of the 1290 Super Duke R, just like the frame or still the rims.
Aesthetically, the style is more aggressive than the current version even if the GT orientation remains essential. In short, KTM has already made serious progress on the project and should unveil this new version from the next vintage… or so we hope! To be continued as they say.
