The new naked roadster from the Austrian manufacturer was photographed by RideApart during road tests. After discovering its existence from some homologation documents from Germany, here is the first photo of the sharpest version of the SuperDuke family. This RR version has numerous carbon elements, the main ingredients of the slimming treatment which make the SuperDuke lose a lot of weight, bringing it down on the scale to 170 kg dry. A figure which considerably improves the weight/power ratio, given that the 8 cc LC1301 V-twin is capable of delivering no less than 180 hp.

This model is also equipped with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, lighter than the model fitted to the base version and capable of offering a few additional horsepower. The rest of the components include aluminum parts, such as footrests, levers and steering brackets, but also forged rims and a new set of WP Apex Pro suspensions. It seems that the SuperDuke RR will see its production limited to only 500 examples.

KTM hasn't released any official release date yet, but time is running out and we suspect it won't take long to learn more about the new 1290 2021 Super Duke RR.
