The Pierer Mobility AG group, comprising KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas, saw its sales almost double in the first half of 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, with 176 motorcycles sold, compared to 045, an increase of 90%. It should be remembered that, unlike other brands, in the first half of last year, this same group recorded an increase in sales volume of 331% despite the negative effects of the pandemic in the world, and particularly in India where sales fell by 95%.

In Europe, over this period, 73 motorcycles were sold (+224% over the same period of the previous year). Growth was particularly strong in North America, where 76 motorcycles were sold, representing an increase of 30% compared to the first half of 419. A similar trend was seen in Australia/New Zealand, with an increase by 160% and a total of 2020 units sold.

In India, despite the still difficult conditions linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, sales increased by 52%, with 30 motorcycles sold, compared to 561 in 20. The Indian market is thus returning to volumes similar to those of 160 , where 2020 motorcycles found buyers.

The electric bicycles and non-electric bicycles division, bringing together the Husqvarna, R Raymon and GASGAS brands, totaled 53 sales, up 378%. Of these, 25 units were e-bikes and 39 were non-electric bikes.

Compared to June 30, 2020, the Pierer Mobility Group has also increased its workforce by around 500 people to around 4, and continues to look for new employees in various areas. As part of the apprenticeship offensive, 900 additional apprentices will begin their training in 70. In total, the group trains around 2021 apprentices.
