We knew KTM's ability to react quickly and work just as hard, but the Austrian firm seems to have taken another step forward in speed. Thus, its Adventure 890 model has barely arrived in dealerships under the pressure of Euro 5 regulations when, already, an evolution has leaked onto the web...
KTM now offers a new 890 Adventure, but given these photos, it seems that the next model is already being tested. It will be recalled that the opus is equipped with the 889 cc engine of 105 hp with a torque of 100 Nm. And for 2022? We can't imagine that it will be hardly different, but we must still take into account these photos published by the MCN site and including Insella.it is also echoed.
We note a different aerodynamic package with a decidedly larger and more protective fairing. The plexiglass is adjustable, increased in size, and the whole thing seems more in line with the Adventure idea of the motorcycle. Looking closer at the photos, in addition to the unchanged 21-inch spoked wheels, we also notice a tank with lines identical to those of the “new” 890, but perhaps modified in terms of volumes.
Taking stock, we could expect the arrival of a modified version for long journeys, made more comfortable, protective and able to travel greater distances with a full tank of gasoline. Unless the road test immortalized by the lens was nothing more than evaluating a new oversized fairing to be included in the new accessories catalog KTM … To be continued !
