KTM assures that in the midst of a pandemic we can still go on an adventure...

KTM always has refreshing messages that can be found in its slogan “Ready to Race”. Ready to run is also always ready to ride. This is the idea that seems to dominate what will be the presentation of the 1290 Super Adventure trail with which the world will become smaller. It’s a daring concept at a time when the pandemic has closed borders and made travel difficult, making, on the contrary, travel between countries couldn’t be more complicated…

But more is needed to discourage KTM. And this is not the Covid-19 which will spoil the expected release 1290 Super Adventure. The Mattighofen brand announces its arrival with a countdown that will stop on January 26.

We are expecting two versions, in R and in S, with no less than 160 ch that the regulations Euro5 will not have weakened. A new trellis frame for a different mass distribution is promised as an optimization of stability with a swingarm which will benefit from a slight extension.

KTM still loves Adventure

On the Adventure S, a change has also been made to the driving position, slightly lowered but still adjustable, as if to suggest a more road-oriented nature, confirmed by the new alloy wheels. The R version, on the other hand, will always remain the most off-road thanks to the presence of spoked wheels.

Finally, we will celebrate the arrival of radar technology and, therefore, automatic speed control. Maybe this could come as an option, or be standard on the S. Looking forward to the 26th of this month! In the meantime, here's something to make our mouths water with these few moving images.
